NY Criminal Lawyer Nathaniel Burney is combining his artistic talents with his knowledge and passion for educating folks about criminal law:
Mr. Burney explains the project:
It was bound to happen, really. There are plenty of questions, issues and misconceptions about criminal law; we like explaining things; we like drawing things (poorly); people like learning stuff with pictures⦠So doing a webcomic sort of guide to criminal law just seemed natural.
So, if you're struggling with mens rea, actus rea, attempt, or conspiracy/solicitation/accomplice liability check out his illustrated scenarios and handy charts like this one on attempt:
FWIW, my favorite is the illustration of the axes of evil: culpabililty, responsibility, and depravity. [JML]

This is my first time to see this kind of illustration that explains about criminal law. But, I still prefer the illustrations with words and not merely illustrations at all. I am not sure if everybody could decipher the gist of every illustration done.

I have studied the concept of culpability before and all stuffs like intention and motive to commit a crime. There is really beauty about the study of law and while there is so much talk about it, much of the concept is in psychobabble.
